Modern Communications, Inc. is proud to announce that 2008 marks our 30th anniversary in business. Back in 1978, two brothers thought they could build a company in the video industry selling patient education videos, only to find out that the medical field was more interested in video equipment. With that knowledge, the decision was made to seek out suppliers of video equipment for the medical and professional markets. It was not long before Modern Communications became a dealer of Panasonic products. With this single dealership Modern has been able to build to the current product line of today.
Modern was started in a small office in Crestwood and within four years we needed to seek out a larger facility, which brought the company to Fenton. During the next twelve years we increased our sales personnel and started a service center. With continued growth, the next move was to build our own facility that could house more inventory and a larger service center. In February, 1994 we moved to our current location. In addition to the larger service center, we have added a non-linear demo/classroom and field technicians to assist with system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Currently we represent over 100 vendors. This will insure that you, our customer, will have a custom designed system that is perfectly fitted for your needs. We also have certified technicians to keep your system running at peak performance. We service equipment from varied industries all across the country including TV stations, medical facilities, universities, corporations and government facilities.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Contracts Modern Communications
to Provide an Audio/Visual Solution
for Their New Weldon Springs Campus
Modern Communications, Inc was contracted by Enterprise Rent-A-Car to design and install a turnkey Audio/Visual solution for their newly built 5 story Weldon Springs Facility Campus. In all, Modern Communications provided new:
- Digital Signage system for the main and lower level elevator corridors and lobbies
- State of the Art Training Rooms on Garden Level
- Expandable Conference Rooms to accommodate small to large size audiences with full room controls, AV equipment, 65” Professional Plasma displays, all networked and routed together for a complete training and conference solution
- Audio system networked to Lower Level Main Conference Rooms, in cafeteria, for special events and overflow
- Small, Large, and Extra Large conference rooms on Floors 1-4 to accommodate Enterprise employees and provide the latest Audio/Visual tools
Modern Communications worked with the trades and especially American Data and Electric to pull all low voltage, power, and data cable drops for this massive project. We designed rooms alongside with Enterprise building designers, facility managers and project coordinators to give this State of the Art building the proper equipment to assist and train present and future employees for years to come.
