The next-generation, full-featured industrial DVD-video player from Pioneer Electronics designed for professional applications. The DVD-V8000 builds upon its predecessor’s advanced capabilities to provide users with a robust feature set that delivers improved durability and exceptional picture quality. The player’s new form factor allows for easier rack mounting; a new front panel LCD display and navigation keys on the front panel allow for enhanced ease of use; and USB interfaces allow connectivity for a computer mouse, USB Flash Memory or handwriting device. The DVD-V8000 is a wonderful solution for many different types of applications including: video exhibits in museums and art galleries, sales promotions in showrooms and stores, information displays in shopping malls, office building lobbies and airports, training and education in businesses and schools and more.
Rugged Durability
Ideally suited for industrial applications that require constant operation in high traffic environments, the DVD-V8000 is Pioneer’s most rugged industrial DVD-Video player with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rating of 50,000 hours.
Superior Image Quality
The DVD-V8000 features a new DVI-D digital video terminal (HDCP 1.0 compliant) and the user can choose to upscale the picture resolution to as much as 1920x1080i when connected to a HD display for delivery of the highest quality digital images from standard definition DVD-Video.

AVID MEDIA COMPOSER 2.7
This new release offers significant stability improvements and a numerous new features such as:
· Full support for Intel based Mac computers
· ScriptSync phonetic indexing for scripts and transcripts – have Avid organize your shots using your script
· Native support and write back to XDCAM HD and P2 media plus improved workflow options
· New Avid DNxHD 36 full frame 16:9 HD Codec for progressive HD formats
· Compressed audio support, play and edit mp2 files
· Frame Chase Capture. Edit a clip while it's being captured (Interplay required).
AVID XPRESS PRO 5.7
This release builds on the performance and stability enhancements of Xpress Pro 5.6.4 and has been updated to a universal version that supports Windows based PCs as well as Intel and PowerPC-based Mac systems.
Xpress Pro 5.7 also includes the following enhancements:
· Write back to XDCAM media via FireWire. Plus support for bit rates of 18 and 35 Mb/s offering more flexibility between picture quality and recording length when capturing XDCAM HD.
· Write back to P2 media via FireWire. (P2 write back on PC systems and PowerPC-based Macs only.
Intel-based Mac systems to be supported in a future release.) You can now copy your P2 card to a FireWire drive or network drive, import clips and media directory from the P2 card, or write your sequence back to the P2 card.
· Users can adjust views of advanced keyframe graphs.
· The default media type is now MXF.
Avid Xpress Pro 5.7 also includes Sorenson Squeeze Compression Suite version 4.5. This latest release runs equally well on Intel-based Macs, and now encodes up to 3 times faster than prior versions.

Despite the declining costs of HD acquisition, the cost of storing HD footage can sometimes be costly. With the S2VR series of storage arrays from CalDigit, editors now have a more affordable solution. The S2VR features the high speed SATA 3G interface capable of over 450 MB/s allowing uncompressed HD capture and playback. Available in capacities from 500GB up to 5TB, the S2VR can store up 15 hours of 10 bit HD 1080/60i footage. The S2VR is equipped with high speed drives that can be hot swapped and used in Performance, Protected or JBOD configurations.
