For those of you who have been wondering what all the buzz is about Avid’s Pinnacle acquisition, this is it! Come take a look at how Liquid is different from Avid Xpress Pro.
Avid Liquid Chrome HD combines versatile Avid Liquid software with standard-and high-definition SDI (serial digital interface) hardware. Editors and videographers can capture popular formats such as DV and HDV—and encode from analog or digital sources—and then master to tape in both standard and high definition formats. Liquid has powerful video editing integrated with DVD authoring from the timeline; surround-sound audio processing; and a multitude of visual effects. Editors only have to learn a single interface to create high-quality video productions with sophisticated effects and audio—and quickly output to tape, disc, or streaming media. Panasonic introduces two new HD Products...
The AJ-HDX900 DVCPRO HD Camcorder
and the AJ-HD1400 DVCPRO HD Compact Recorder
Both units were shown at NAB of this year and are scheduled to start shipping in August. The AJ-HDX900 Multi-Format Camcorder will provide HD Production at SD costs. The camcorder very similar to the current standard definition SDX900 with the 24P and 30P but will shoot in HD either 1080 or 720P. The new AJ-HDX900 utilizes HD Progressive 2/3” CCD’s.
The AJ-HD1400 HD recorder is the replacement for the existing AJ-HD1200A . It is very similar in looks and features to the AJ-HD1200A, but will allow insert capabilities and the HD-SDI I/O board and the Firewire board are standard in the unit, not options. The AJ-HD1400 recorder will still record either 720 or 1080I and has a new lower price.
